This poses an interesting dilemma. Are these specimens truly albino or have they been weathered by the sun? In the photos posted, you can almost make out faint brown bands in a few of the specimens, which leads me to believe these were probably normal typical specimens at one time. Since they were found on a small island, it could be safe to say perhaps they have been untouched by man laying in the sun for some time. It is hard to tell. I would think the animal would be different from a typical animal if it were truly albino, however there is no mention as to whether these were live taken or not. I too have some specimens with very very faint patterning leading towards a white-ish specimen but I do not believe that they are albinistic.

Sincerely, Lyle
