I'm not sure if this is what you want, but windows extension assignments can be set through windows explorer or My Computer. Open win explorer Click 'Tools' Select 'Folder Options' Select 'File Types' Scroll down list to SAS extension Click on it, then chose 'Change' button. Find SAS in list or use Browse and find your SAS.exe file. Click OK..OK..Ok etc to close it. When you double click the program with SAS extension it will run in SAS.
