Happy Holidays.

Please make plans to attend the GOS 2012 Winter Meeting on Tybee Island. The meeting will be held over MLK Holiday Weekend, January 13-16, 2012 at the Ocean Plaza Beach Resort. The Saturday night Keynote Speaker will be Dr. George Archibald, Co-founder of the International Crane Foundation. Dr. Archibald will be speaking on The Return of Migratory Whooping Cranes to Eastern North America.

Friday night's featured speaker will be Malcolm Hodges, Director of Stewardship for The Nature Conservancy in Georgia. Malcolm's lecture is entitled Feathers and Flames: Why fire is important for Georgia's birds.

Friday night will also feature a Photo Contest - Birds in Flight. Watch for more details on that later.

We have set up numerous field trips to the area's birding hotspots over the four days.

Please use the link below for a detailed description of each field trip and registration information.
