The following is a summary of the Georgia Rare Bird Alert (RBA) Thursday
evening telephone report, November 3, 2011. The RBA is a service of the
Georgia Ornithological Society. Jeff Sewell is the voice of the RBA.

On October 27, A Lincoln's Sparrow was seen at the Jonhson Ferry North Unit
of CNRA for the last consecutive day. On November 1 a Grasshopper Sparrow
and a Henslow's Sparrow was seen.

A big Turkey Vulture migration was observed at the Chattahoochee Nature
Center on October 29 and 30 with 101 birds counted on October 29 and 316
birds on October 30.

On October 30, 2 Sedge Wrens, 2 Lincoln's Sparrows and 4 White-crowned
Sparrows were located at McDaniel Farm Park.

A flock of 11 American White Pelicans were seen at the Walter F. George Dam
on October 30.

On October 31 Lincoln's Sparrow, White-crowned Sparrow and Vesper Sparrow
were seen at the South Milledge fields. On November 2 the Lincoln's Sparrow
and White-crowned Sparrow was relocated.

On November 1, an American Black Duck and 5 female Northern Pintail were
seen at E.L.Huie in Clayton County.

A Nashville Warbler and Blackpoll Warbler with many other warbler species
was seen at Centennial Olympic Park in downtown Atlanta on November 1.

On November 1, 2 Lincoln's Sparrows and 3 Vesper Sparrows were found at the
horse park in Conyers, GA.

On November 2, a late Tennessee Warbler and Philadelphia Vireo was seen by
Richard Hall in his yard.
