Hi, Birders:
Come join us for a bird watching tour of Robins Air Force Base in Warner
Robins on Saturday, April 16th, and Saturday, May 7th. The base
features over 2,000 acres of river swamp, creek forest, bay and gum
ponds, a small longleaf pine forest, upland hardwood forest, loblolly
pine stands, fields, and lakes. We typically count 70-80 species on
these tours, including as many as 10 warbler species (Swainson's is
often the highlight). We'll start at 7:45 a.m. and bird until mid-day.
If you would like to join us, please contact me no later than April 8th
for the April 16th trip, and April 29th for the May 7th trip (see
contact information below).
Thank you,
Bob Sargent
