Tina Norris and I headed out to Carter's Lake Rereg, it was quite windy and chilly. It was so windy, we watched a turkey vulture hover. We did spot 4 gulls but they were too high to i.d. and nothing out on the water from that end.
Our best bird of the day was a ruby-crowned kinglet who posed quite nicely for us, flitting out to catch bugs and not minding us at all.
Carter's Rereg
1 ruby-crowned kinglet
1 northern mockingbird
5 dark-eyed junkos
4 song sparrows
3 turkey vultures
1 red-tailed hawk
We then headed off for Pine Chapel Rd for a really quick stop as we were losing daylight.
5 eastern bluebirds
30 meadowlarks
4 muscovy ducks
2 great blue herons
10 Savannah sparrows
4 red-winged blackbirds
40+ robins
Nearly everywhere we went today there were lots of crows even a convention near my house as we were headed out.
A fine day!
