Subject: confidence intervals for V matrix in SAS proc mixed
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I would like to calculate the confidence intervals for the correlations in the V=ZGZ' + R matrix in proc mixed.

It seems SAS does not provide the elements of V, although I think this would be something that users would often want. I believe one way to achieve this would be to retrieve the elements of RCORR, GCORR and ASYCORR and apply the Delta Method or use bootstrapping.

I would be extremely appreciative if somebody could provide any information/guidance on this process or whether there are other ways of obtaining these confidence intervals that I may not be aware of.

Thank you,

Regina
