Subject:   OT: some email has been delayed in the US over the past couple days
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

I'm sending this on the chance that it will reach the list in a suitable length of time. My email account is through Verizon and yesterday, I realized that some of my outgoing email messages were being delayed for days. Yesterday, an on-line Verizon rep. told me that there was a latency problem on one of their servers but this had been fixed on Friday evening. However, this morning, Sunday, I received my copy of a message that I had posted on Friday. Today, I have sent test messages and some have gone through but I have not seen others.

In summary, if you use Verizon for your email, you may have problems. There have been a number of postings in the Verizon email forum about the issue.

Good luck

Nat Wooding
