I have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of winter birds and was quite excited to get two this morning! This is my earliest date ever for White-throated Sparrow (last year's FOS date was 10/8/09) and Golden-crowned Kinglet (last year's FOS date was 10/18/09). In addition to these winter arrivals there were quite a fall migrants as well. Highlights included:

Yellow-throated Vireo - 1 Philadelphia Vireo - 1 Gray-cheeked Thrush - 4 Swainson's Thrush - 3 Tennessee Warbler - 2 Chestnut-sided Warbler - 1 Magnolia Warbler - 6 Black-throated Green Warbler - 1 Blackburnian Warbler - 1 Palm Warbler (Western) - 1 Black-and-white Warbler - 1 American Redstart - 1 Hooded Warbler - 1 Summer Tanager - 1 Scarlet Tanager - 1 Rose-breasted Grosbeak - 8
