Subject:      Are goodness of fit test sample size dependent?

This is a statistics question rather than SAS question but since I spotted
this phenomenon in a SAS output:

Are goodness of fit test (like Hosmer-Lemeshow) dependent on sample size? Is
there some reference which tell you at about what sample size they just fail
because you have enough statistical power to detect even the most trivial
difference?
