Have you looked at the trace entries in the AFCY dump to see what file control responses were received? The full trace might indicate the failing condition.

Also check out your console and CSSL messages at the time of the dump to see if any other error conditions were logged

Hello List, The development people here, never use the VSAM Alternate Index. I see some application here, that this may be very usefull, because here for now don't have Database (Like Db2). So, do some definitions, the Cluster, the Path, and the AIX. Next load a cluster, Buildindex, define the all in the CICS, but something is not correct, adn I don't understand why. This is my definitions : DELETE SUPORTE.SUPDSABC CL PRG CAT(VSESP.USER.CATALOG) DEFINE CLUSTER( - NAME (SUPORTE.SUPDSABC) - INDEXED - SPEED - KEYS(05 0) - CISZ(8192) - FSPC(10 10) - RECSZ(0080 0080) - VOLUME(DOSRES) - SHR(2) - REC(1000 10) - TO(99365)) - DATA (NAME (SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.DATA)) - INDEX (NAME (SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.INDEX)) - CATALOG(VSESP.USER.CATALOG) DEFINE AIX ( - NAME (SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.AIX) - KEYS(10 5) - CISZ(8192) - FSPC(10 10) - NONUNIQUEKEY - UPGRADE - RELATE(SUPORTE.SUPDSABC) - RECSZ(6144 6144) - VOLUME(DOSRES) - SHR(2) - REC(1000 10) - TO(99365)) - DATA (NAME (SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.AIX.DATA)) - INDEX (NAME (SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.AIX.INDEX)) - CATALOG(VSESP.USER.CATALOG) BLDINDEX INDATASET (SUPORTE.SUPDSABC) - OUTDATASET(SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.AIX) DEFINE PATH ( NAME(SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.PATH) - PATHENTRY(SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.AIX) Here the CICS definition : I FILE(SUP*) STATUS: RESULTS - OVERTYPE TO MODIFY Fil(SUPDIAB ) Vsa Ope Ena Rea Bro Dsn( SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.PATH Fil(SUPDSAB ) Vsa Ope Ena Rea Upd Add Bro Del Dsn( SUPORTE.SUPDSABC If I try define the PATH with all options ADD, READ, UPDATE, BROWSE DELETE, the X'A8' (168) occurs. So, define the PATH with READ / BROWSE. When try add a new record, in the base, a abend AFCY occurred. My data looking by Ditto is : VOLSER DOSRES Type KSDS DSNAME SUPORTE.SUPDSAB RBA Len <===>...10....5...20....5...30. 0 80 00001JOAO 80 80 00002MARIO 160 80 00003ROSE 240 80 00004JOSE 320 80 00005JOAO 400 80 00006MARIO 480 80 00007JOAO 560 80 00008MARIO 640 80 00009ROSE 720 80 00010JOSE 800 80 00011JOAO 960 80 00013MARIO 1040 80 00014ROSE 1120 80 00015JOSE 1200 80 00016JOAO 1280 80 00017JOAO 1360 80 00018MARIO 1440 80 00019ROSE 1520 80 00020JOSE VOLSER DOSRES Type AIX DSNAME SUPORTE.SUPDSABC.AIX RBA Len 1...5<==10====>...20....5...30....5...40....5...50. 0 50 .....JOAO 00001000050000700011000120001600017 50 35 .....JOSE 00004000100001500020 85 40 .....MARIO 0000200006000080001300018 125 35 .....ROSE 00003000090001400019 List, sorry about this new question, me and my problems, but I'm alone here working under this.
