Hi, Russ,

I was going to say forsheyi (if not, definitely in the S. campestris group) so concordialis could be right since it was partially synonymized with forsheyi by Hubricht (1985). Pilsbry (1948) also notes, "S. foresheyi Lea, of which two paratypes are in the Philadelphia collection, is surely identical with concordialis." He describes the intensely black mantle dappled with round yellowish spots that get elongated toward the edge of the mantle. He also notes, however, that the "foot including head and eye stalks is pale grayish-white, speckled with irregular grayish-black spots" and the sole is pale yellow, so who knows? Initially sounds like forsheyi/concordialis but then seems to diverge.

Hey, Russ? How you can so easily put together the definitive list of Louisiana land snails (Minton and Perez, 2005) but not even attempt this handsome critter!
