I'm pretty sure that you could do this with SQL but it might be easier to use Proc Contents and specify an output data set.

I'm sure this has been done very often and must be in some paper / page on the internet but I cannot find anything.

Could anyone point me to where I could find code that exports the variable attributes of all datasets in a folder to an Excel file.
