Check your I/O configurations and see whether you have a valid comparison. The O/S shouldn't matter as much as the I/O subsystem. You don't specify anything about the hardware so it is a stab in the dark as to what might be the cause. Also, I don't know what NET-SRV means so I am inferring that you moved from NT based upon your title statement. NT does not stand for NET-SRV so clarification there would be helpful as well.
