What an uncomfortable day to be out. But some interesting observations. You know the field is flooded when I'm setting up a net and flush 2 mallards and 3 snipe!

One person in the group also saw a falcon sp, but was unable to get us on it. All she could say was "not a kestrel".

Very few vultures for this site, and no buteos is quite unusual - but the ceiling was so low, birds likely were hunkered down.
