Subject: Greater White-fronted Goose continues - Gordon County

I checked Fite Bend Rd this evening to find the single GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GOOSE still present. It was in amongst the many Canada Geese. I observed all waterfowl from the big oak north of the silos. I stayed until dark hoping for a Barn Owl, but never heard or saw one. Highlights:

Greater White-fronted Goose Canada Goose - 227 Gadwall - 3 Mallard - 4 Green-winged Teal - 11 Northern Pintail - 8 drakes, 2 hens Northern Shoveler - one hen Northern Harrier American Kestrel Sandhill Crane - 6 Vesper Sparrow - 2

I heard two Great Horned Owls along Pine Chapel Rd later, these were my first for the year.

Joshua Spence, Murray County
