This user subscribed in 2007 and was taken off moderation after it was
clear that he was legitimate and he had made several birding related
posts in the past.  My guess is that some virus got into his account
and started sending spams without his knowledge.  He has been put back
on moderation so no further spams will reach the list from this
account.

Thank you Mim for making me aware of this.  I had not received his
post but it is in the archives.  I suspect it will arrive in other
mailboxes later today.
