Hi Lise,
What version of SAS are you trying to install on your new machine with
Windows 7 Home Preminum?
Before Windows 7,
SAS 9 or higher were only installable on Windows Vista Professional or
Ultimate.
I had to install SAS 8.2 on my machine with Windows Vista Home
edition.
Recently upgraded the machine to Windows 7 Professional assuming that
I could not install SAS 9.1 or higher on
Windows 7 Home edition. My SAS 9.1.3 is working fine on Windows 7
Professional.
And,
there's the SAS 64 bit version available. I wonder if you've tried
installing a 32bit version
on a 64 bit Windows 7 Home Preminum.
Hope this helps.
