Hello All,

I am working on a Presentation on SAS EG Tricks and Tips for SAS Programmer. For a SAS programmer who worked on SAS enhanced editor for a while using SAS EG Code window and menu seems to be different . Say for example using Find Cntrl + F does not work the way it SAS enhanced editor (may be I am wrong ). Does any body in the group share their experiences using how SAS EG different from SAS Enhanced editor and How they overcame .

Some things I have observed:

I have noted that inside the EG when you run a sas code the datasets associated with the program is ordered different for each Tab unlike the sas which would put all of them in work area .

And couple of questions like is there a work folder for SAS EG ?? when a part of sas code is ran datasets generated by them are only visible while remaining datasets are hidden.

Is it possible to customize the SAS EG menu like SAS enhanced editor ?

Is it possible to recover .sas program which has not been saved (like we can do in sas )

If there is paper or sas-l discussion already covering SAS EG would be highly appreciated. Thanks for your time and help.

I am using SAS EG 4.1

SL
