Here in Ringgold, the far north of Georgia, I still have at least one Ruby-thro Hummingbird. I thought my water was still going down and this afternoon I saw her. This is the latest I have ever had a RTHU.
Yesterday (Wednesday) I was at the Jones Community in Fannin County and had seveal White-throated Sparrows, and one White-crowned Sparrow. Three Red-breasted Nuthatches are still hanging out in the old abandoned campground on Forest Service Road 126 about two miles west of the Jack's River. I suspect they are there for the winter. I am beginning to think they are permanent residents there. Also, both kinglets are now here. Tuesday I was in the Alaculsy Valley in northern Murray County and the Swamp Sparrows are there in big numbers. A few Yellow-Rumped Warblers are also here.
Ringgold, Catoosa County, GA
