Subject:   Hummers in Sandy Springs & Alpharetta

I visited 2 different friends in the past 2 days and observed a single young female RT Hummer at both homes. The Hummer in Alpharetta has been living on a raised deck nonstop for the past week - roosting in a potted Japanese Maple and only leaving the tree to dine at the feeder. She is extremely aggressive/territorial of the feeder with any birds that come in too close. The Hummer in Sandy Springs is doing the same thing - traveling only between a small potted tree and the feeder; a distance of only 5'. Am sure they'll be leaving soon, but I've been telling everyone to keep their feeders fresh & full through Winter.
