Maybe down the road we'll see a community version of SPSS similar to DB2
Express. IBM's been pretty good about doing that kind of thing.

I notice the Noonan press release uses the phrase Predictive Analytics (his
capitalization) no fewer than three times.
Seems to be a clear shot across the bow. I'm sure this isn't the last we'll

IBM is buying analytics software and solutions provider SPSS in an all cash
transaction at a price of $50/share - a 42 percent premium to Monday's
