I'll post this to the list in hopes that someone who knows more about PROC TEMPLATE than I do will be kind enough to respond.
As a rule we wouldn't edit a template, and we shouldn't in most cases have privileges to overwrite templates. Instead, we create a temporary template that inherits the properties of the standard template. Here's a crude example from a program:
define style Styles.mhts_addressLabels;
replace Body from Document
"Controls the Body file." /
bottommargin = 0
topmargin = .205in
rightmargin = 0
leftmargin = 0;
So, do I understand correctly that an attempt to edit BASE styles is showing up as text in your ODS PDF output and in the output window? I can only guess that you would replace not remove style assignments, as shown above, if you are trying to modify them. Or perhaps you are trying to delete a script that is showing up in output. In that case we'll need to know more about the context of ODS output and the output window.

Hi. I'm trying to remove/modify these SAS created statements in the ODS PDF output, and in the case of the Freq procedure, from the output window as well. I've googled, but can't see where I can remove/modify ?
I have code to modify some elements of the PDF from an article, but I can't find where these "The x Procedure" comes from.
edit Base.Freq.Onewaylist ;
edit base.summary ;
contents_label = mylabel;
