Subject: Overvalued Software Products and Undervalued Analysts? The Value
of a Great Analyst in Business Analytics? About $3m per Year!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

A recent presentation I created may be of interest to many of you here on SAS-L: <http://www.freakalytics.com/blog/p/3> The Value of a Great Analyst- About $3M per Year!

In my opinion, too much emphasis has been placed with the tools used by analysts in the press and by firms like Gartner and IDC. Too little emphasis has been placed on the tremendous value differences generated by great analysts over average analysts in my opinion. I think this is vital information for analysts and their management.

I hope this is helpful to some of you when considering your value at work! Your thoughts, opinions and feedback are appreciated.

Best regards,

Stephen McDaniel
