Don't recall journal ever doing that to me. Sometimes the viewer makes lines seem 'disappear'ed due to zooming factor and/or acrobat reader settings. What version and operating system ? Maybe you could post a sample program demonstrating the issue -- boiling it down to a simple sample sometimes makes the problem reason become apparent.
