Talk about being in the right place at the right time...  As I was on my way to the back door to yell at the squirrel that was scarfing down sunflower seed at the platform feeder, I glanced at the hummingbird feeder and saw...are you ready for this?...a brilliant male Prothonotary Warbler!  A knock your socks off experience.  He didn't appear to be after the nectar, just sitting there.  My records show a previous early date of April 29 some years ago.

What a way to start the day!
