Subject: ANOVA Variance components question
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

Hi I'm using Proc Mixed to perform a one way anova. The analysis has been performed and there is evidence of differences between some of the levels of the factor. Now I have been supplied with a further piece of information. That is I have been told ahh but there are variance components A and B which estimate variation in the process that created the levels of the factor (of which I have been supplied estimates). Now are are the differences? How can this extra information been incorporated into the model? Is it necessary to do this ? Thanks.
