After trying to recover from the holidays and back-to-back CBCs...I
finally got a chance to edit some of the images taken during the 3
Christmas bird counts I participated in (Macon County, Carter's Lake, and
The light was not particularly favorable for most of my bird counts, and
like Bill Lotz pointed out, it is a Bird Survey and NOT a photo shoot...
But included images are the "rough-legged" Red-tailed Hawk acting like a
Robin at Berry College; a particularly well behaved adult White-crowned
Sparrow from Moss Rd (Carter's Lake CBC); and a debut of some of Jason
Baumgardner's photos (taken while babysitting/holding my camera).

On a side note, after searching in vain for Hairy Woodpeckers during the
CBC's, I had one come to my feeder in my own backyard, a first I have
noted for a yard bird, but then again...I am not home much, so who knows
if it has been here before.
