Hello!
This morning at GA Highlands College in Rome my students and I spotted a
lone female Common Goldeneye on the big lake. Also present in great
numbers were ring-billed gulls. I could not get an exact count as they
swirled in the distance but there were at least 150 birds. A singing fox
sparrow was also worth noting. It may have frigid out there, but at
least it was windy-- a perfect day for getting kids hooked on birding.
Have a great Sunday afternoon.
