Bollen is 'the Bible' but pretty heavy going. Loehlin J.C, Latent Variable
Models, (pub. Lawrence Erlbaum) is an accessible text.

HI,
I am about to undergo training in Structural Equation Modelling using AMOS
in SPSS. I have a health science background and need to purchase a good
practical approach text(s) (rather than mathematical text).
Below are some options. Any advice for or against or other options would be
greatly appreciated.
