Greetings all,
After visiting American Proteins, I worked my way back home via GA 369/
Brown's Bridge Rd to Oakwood and onto I985 to Lawrenceville. I stopped at
several parks along the north side of Lanier and a couple on the south
side. I also started out this loop before AP at Lower Overlook Park. At
about 6:45 this morning, it was dead. Same for the view from the Lake
Lanier Waterworks pullout just north of Buford Dam. Finally at Vann's
Tavern, I hit paydirt in the form of 4 Black Terns. Also had an Osprey and
two Great Blue Herons there. I had additional 3 Black Terns at Mountain
View Park just east of Brown's Bridge and 3 more at Balus Creek Park which
is near the intersection of GA 53 and McEver Rd. Lake Lanier itself seemed
surprisingly quiet on the human front, I suppose the coolish temps and cloud
cover kept some folks away.
