After seeing all the reports in the north part of the state of passerine
migrants, I thought I'd switch gears and go warblering today. I tried Boat
Ramp Rd, and despite not starting until 1:00 in the afternoon, had a good bit
of migrant activity, including a nice assortment of warbler species (14) with
several fots birds...
Golden-winged Warbler - 1
Northern Parula - 12
Blackburnian Warbler - 1
Cerulean Warbler - 3 (1m, 2f)
Magnolia Warbler - 1
Chestnut-sided Warbler - 6
Black-and-white Warbler - 5
Northern Waterthrush - 1
Swainson's Warbler - 1 (still singing)
Worm-eating Warbler - 1
Prothonotary Warbler - 2
American Redstart - 5
Kentucky Warbler - 3
Hooded Warbler - 5
No Yellow-bellied Flycatchers yet, but 3 Acadians and 8-10 pewees were
present.
