Subj: Swallow-tailed Kite--a Sign??
Yesterday, August 15, I attended the funeral of a special person, a World
War II veteran who was a prisoner of war for 10 months in Germany. This event
took place at Greenwood Cemetery in Cairo, GA in Grady County. After an
impressive service with military honors ending in taps and presentation of the
American flag, I was stunned to see a lone majestic SWALLOW-TAILED KITE soaring
and dipping and turning directly over our heads!! I could hardly contain my
excitement! Truly, it seemed a part of the ceremony and celebration of this
esteemed man's life--and, I believe, a sign of peace and well-being for him.
