Hello,
I was vacationing in New Orleans last week and was treated to a great view
of a hawk eating a bird just outside my parents' breakfast table! Hawk ID's
can be so DIFFICULT! My best guess is a first-year sharp-shinned. You can
almost see a notch in the tail in one of these pics. I was unable to
identify the prey, except that it was a bird.
Any input is greatly appreciated!
