You've gotten excellent advice about SAS ==== see David Cassell's paper

Books: Introductory but seminal --- An Introduction to the Bootstrap by Efron and Tibshirani. Recommended without qualification, even if it's a bit dated

More technical, but excellent ---- Bootstrap methods and their application, by Davison and Hinkley. A *lot* more math than the above, if you want more detail on how things work
