Thank you all, so much!

I firmly believe that I have the right setinit file, as only one text file (ultimately it is the license) is available in the disc. I also have checked the text file itself, which shows the expire date is June 2008. Moreover, I use the same instruction to install SAS in another's desktop, and it is installed successfully. Therefore, I would have used a right path to point to the right setinit file.

I have noticed that when I run verifying system requirement for SAS, and only one file, JAVA environment, is installed in my laptop, while two are installed in another's desktop. Would it be a problem? But, why does SAS still verify my system for system requirement?

I have uninstalled SAS for a number of times, and nothing happens. I also have tried to renew license using SAS utility, but it shows that something like, no log file is created....

My license is under my uni's.....not sure if I can get support! I believe there may be something lack in my laptop, but I do not know what....

Thanks

fei
