Subject: MORTALITY STUDIES 101
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hello SAS-L,

I have been assigned to work with mortality tables (studies, etc.)

I have never heard of such matters that actuaries use.

I need to be brought up to speed on this subject that actuaries take years to master.

I would like to solicit your help in directing me into introductory materials so I can learn what mortality tables are (for, say, Life Insurance product), how to construct A/E (Actual/Expected) tables, etc.

If there are also any good books out there that's good as well.

Thank you.

Tom
