Just to add to the numbers... we've had Sandhill Cranes flying over
our yard in Lamar County for just over a week. Most have been groups
of 25 - 50, with a few bigger.
Given how infrequently we are home, I think it is interesting that we
have seen a minimum of 100 a day for 4 of the last 9 days.
Today Tracey saw at least 350 in the time it took her to hang a load
of laundry. We did get a bit of a spook when very uneven lighting
made me briefly think there was a white bird up there...
