I have a question about the interpretation of
"refproportion" using proc power twosamplefreq.
SAS documentation says refproportion "specifies the
reference proportion p1."
Is the following interpretation correct:
You have a cohort, and you are looking at lung cancer
as the disease of interest, and you are examining
smoking as a risk factor.
Does p1 indicate the proportion of non-smokers that
get lung cancer? Or in other words the proportion of
those without exposure to the risk factor. Is this
