Subject Re: Extensions of SAS library members under Windows

Dear SAS-L-ers,

Bob Abelson posted the following:

> I know that under Windows, there is .sas7bdat (SAS Data Set), > .sas7bcat (SAS Catalog), and .sas7bndx (SAS Data Set Index). > Are there any others? > Bob, you named some of the more "important" SAS file extensions, but YES there are more. Here is a useful link to a list of file extensions for SAS files under Windows:

http://support.sas.com/onlinedoc/912/getDoc/hostwin.hlp/introsasfiles.ht m#sasfileswinnames

The file extensions hold true for other operating systems, with the exception of Z/os. (Always gotta be the exception don't you, Mr. Big Iron)!

Bob, best of luck in all of your SAS endeavors!

I hope that this suggestion proves helpful now, and in the future!
