[1] There wasn't. At least, I didn't see it.

[2] When this happens, remember that there are backups everywhere.

The SAS-L archives are searchable. Usenet is accessible all over the place. Google Groups is easy to use.

All of these get (pretty much) the same set of postings, so you can check for stuff like this really easily.
