That's right - the reason to use SAS/GRAPH is because you're already using SAS to do stuff with your data. Then SAS/GRAPH is a good way to get practical, basic graphics using those data - and to produce them repetitively and in bulk if necessary. Polishing the results can be done but takes work.

If all you want is just to produce a few refined-looking, presentation- quality graphs, SAS/GRAPH is not the quickest and easiest tool.
