Subject:      Common Loon and Black-necked Stilts

Dear GABbers,

I visit the Andrews Island causeway whenever I am in town.  On March 28 I had two Black-necked Stilts on the mud bank near the entrance of the causeway.  They have not returned as far as I know.

Today, March 30,  I observed a Common Loon in breeding plumage in the Brunswick Harbor near the boat ramp on Andrews Island causeway.

I also observed a Willet displaying along the Andrews Island causeway marsh.  I would assume it is the eastern subspecies, they have migrated back and are setting up territories.

Churck-wills-widow started calling two nights ago out here in Thalmann.
