This is a broad topic.

I would appreciate some responses as to what some people do with there data before analysis really sets in. Which Procs do you run? What things do you look for? Do you have a checklist of items you go through? Any special programs you run that could benefit others?

Think in terms of giving general advice to a newer SAS user.

I know for myself, the very first thing I do is a Proc Freq so I can get a general feel for what data is in the dataset.

If there are any responses to this post, I'll post back with a summary of all responses.
