Join us this Thursday in Athens, Georgia for Oconee Rivers Audubon's monthly meeting with guest Dr. Brett Albanese to discuss "Ecology and Conservation of Georgia's Rare Aquatic Fauna", followed by refreshments.
Dr. Albanese is an aquatic zoologist with the Natural Heritage Program, Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR). He will provide examples of Georgia 's rich aquatic biodiversity, focusing on fishes but also providing information about rare mussels and crayfishes.
The program, which is open to the public, will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the ENSAT Building at Sandy Creek Nature Center. The Sandy Creek Nature Center is located on 205 Old Commerce Road, off Hwy 441, one mile north of the Athens By-Pass..
