Subject: Re: Lincoln's Sparrow @ Carters Lake
Becky Valentine, Cheryl Kanes and I birded the Carters Lake powerhouse
sparrow fields today. We were hoping to relocate the Lincoln's Sparrow
that was found on 11/8 but were unable to find it. There was about three
times less the number of sparrows that were present on Wednesday. We still
had a good time searching and had a few good birds.
Peregrine Falcon
Sedge Wren
White-crowned Sparrow - 2
The falcon soared over the dam for about five minutes along with several
Turkey Vultures.
Later this evening I stopped by Lake Kathy in northern Whitfield County to
check for waterfowl. Not nothing too interesting but the numbers have
increased.
Pied-billed Grebe
Gadwall - 44
Ring-necked Duck - 252
American Wigeon - hen
American Coot - 121
