Hi folks,

We live in Lamar County, and will be going to Macon for some business this week. While there, we hope to find some help with birding equipment. Any advise would be appreciated.

1) where is there a good place to buy optics, try optics, get advise, etc? We are familiar with some of the online sales sites, but when possible we like to purchase locally (well, as local as Macon is...)

2) we have a nice canvas cover for our Kowa scope. The cover does not have a name brand on it, so we don't know who made it. The zipper is broken, and we'd prefer to have it fixed than repair it (not just an economic thing - we prefer to fix than replace for environmental reasons). Do any of you know a person who could do this? We'd be happy to mail it off or deliver it if it is close enough.
