The SAS Band originally came together at one of the early NESUG conferences to paly at the Volunteer Party. All members were associated with SAS software in some way, except for the drummer. The members I can remember were Mike Marselle (SAS, guitar), Dana Rafiee (Destiny Corp, guitar), Alan Dickson (NESUG co-chair, guitar), Cathy McCall (SAS, vocals). I know there was another SAS employee (Education) on keyboards but I can't remember his name. They then played at NESUG conferences for many years.
When SUGI came to New York, the NESUG Band played at the party and then became a fixture at SUGI conferences.
I thought they had disbanded.

Anybody ever heard of "The SAS Band"?
On the other hand, how has SUGINEWS-L survived the onslaught of the re-branders?
