Hello all,
     Yesterday morning, the 5th of July, I visited the Constitution Lakes at 2602 Moreland Ave.,S.E.  I recorded 34 species of birds and the highlights were:

  Yellow-crowned Night Heron (3)
  Green Heron  (1)
  Little Blue Heron (2) both juvenile
  Great Blue Heron (1)
  White Ibis (5) all juvenile
  Great Egret (2)
  Belted Kingfisher (2)
  Fish Crows (5)
  American Crow (3)
  Turkey Vulture (8)
     Plus (1) White-tailed Deer wading across the end of the lake.  This site  has lots of potential, but it sure is spooky when you're birding alone!
