POSITION: Product Management Data Analyst
REPORTS TO: Director, Product Management
LOCATION(S): South San Francisco Office

POSITION SUMMARY: Designs, develops, tests and produces standard and/or ad
hoc reports as requested by internal business units or by LifeMasters'
customers. Reports include information such as demographics, operational
outcomes and clinical outcomes.
PRINICIPAL DUTIES: Develops reports based on specifications and business
needs. Interacts with both internal and external customers to clarify
report requests and determine report specifications. Modifies and/or
enhances existing reports, as needed. Performs QA functions to ensure
accuracy of report data Meets with business units' team members to improve
the reporting database and the report quality. Documents all information
related to each report generated (code, process to run report, how exactly
how report is run, etc.). Archives prepared reports.
REQUIREMENTS: BS/BA degree required. Technical program required with
course work in business, information systems, statistics, or health.
Experience in data analysis or reporting in a health care setting. Minimum
1 years experience with relational databases utilizing Transact-SQL (MS SQL
preferred, but Oracle PL/SQL is acceptable). Minimum 1 years experience
required designing, implementing and maintaining reports. Minimum 1 years
experience with OLAP, MS Analysis Services, MDX and data warehousing is
highly desirable. Must be proficient in word processing, spreadsheets and
statistical applications. Experience automating MS Office applications
using macros/VBA desirable. Experience with SAS is a plus.
